Carols by Treelight at Halswell 7 December

St John of God Halswell will host its fourth Annual Carols by Treelight event this year, providing an inclusive environment for residents and others in the community living with disability.

St John of God Halswell is a 60 room residential care facility operated by St John of God Hauora Trust’s Health and Ability Services Division. The facility operates on a resident centred model of care (known as “My Life’) where our aim is to support our people to have engaging and fulfilling lives.

While our basic aim is to host a fun community event in Halswell supported by food vendors from the monthly Community Market held onsite, this event also has strong roots in our community development approach. In alignment with our Model of Care, this event also aims to support our residents to engage in activities they may otherwise be excluded from, and providing a platform where community members and our residents can interact in a common space.

The 2017 event is supported by Mike Pero Real Estate Cashmere and in addition to our quality programme of entertainment will feature Chris Bond (More FM) as event MC.
